MaKenna meets Grandma

Caelan needed to plant a big kiss
but MaKenna wasn't so sure

Day 2, 4-4-09, Caelan and Grandma come to the hospital with Daddy. I could not wait to see Caelan, I had missed him so much and was anxious for him to meet his new little sister. After he got some big hugs from Mommy, Caelan was introduced to MaKenna. At first he was unsure of what was going on, kind of intrigued, gave a few kisses and long stares, then was done. He got ants in his pants

and was ready for a walk with Grandma.

It's A Girl!!! 04/03/2009

We anxiously await.....
...and here she is!!

She was the biggest baby in the Labor & Delivery unit!

Daddy's in love, again...

....and Mommy too!

MaKenna Rosine Kinzer was born on 04/03/09 at 7:19pm

at DeWitt Military Hospital.

She weighed 8 lbs 13 oz, 19 1/2 inches.

After an induction finally was scheduled, Shawn and I arrived at the hospital at 10:30am. We were roomed and IV's started at 10:45am. By 11:45 the pitocin was started and MaKenna was born at 7:19pm. There were some bumps in the labor process but her arrival was amazing,

bringing us to tears of shear happiness!!

Our Fourth Anniversay

We celebrated our fourth anniversary in style at Ray's the Steaks. Grandma offered to watch the little man so we could have a special dinner together. We had a wonderful dinner (we highly recommend this restuarant) and especially enjoyed the time together, as the following day 4/3/09 was "D" day.
