My New Bike

5-13-09 Caelan received a really fun early birthday gift from G'ma Betty, a new bike!! He is absolutely obsessed with bikes and when he got this, we couldn't get him off of it!!

Caelan found that the best cell phone reception

is received when in diapers and Vans.

4-30-09 I was driving, singing along with a song on the radio, when I heard Caelan in the back seat, softly singing to himself. His song he made up was a little diddy filled with lots of "blue hats". Which is his current favorite words. It was the most precious thing to hear him sing for the first time! His vocabulary has blossomed, he will string two words together. Ie: blue hat, mommy hat and beebee go?

4-26-09 While awake, she loves to watch Caelan.

When he is playing around her bouncy seat,

she will move her head to follow him.

Couch Potato

4-26-09 Caelan received this mini pull-out couch from Aunt Robin. He loves it. It is our official story reading spot. I sit behind Caelan and he snuggles in with binkie and blanket in hand.

Caelan will be 20 mos old tomorrow! He is a fun little man to be around. He has a few favorite "words"... "Turn-on-it" is his word for lights. He is fascinated by lights and always points them out. "Beebee go?", he says this whenever he doesn't see MaKenna, or if he hears her making noises in her bassinett.
He still is using some sign language but will also say the word at the same time, ie: ball, more & please.
Some of his favorite foods: anything breakfasty--pancakes,waffles, bagels, french toast. Fruit--loves blueberries, strawberries, mangos and bananas. His all time favorite--popcicles!!!

4-23-09 Caelan is 19 mos. and crazy as ever!

We finally had a sunny day, the past couple have been overcast, so we decided to have lunch on our balcony. It was a little chilly buy Caelan loved it. He loves being out on our balcony so he can experience nature at its finest.

MaKenna 3 Weeks Old

spends some time visiting MaKenna before his busy day begins.

4-17-09 MaKenna is 14 days old and poor Caelan, Mommy isn't into running around much. My friend Tara offered to take Caelan for a while to play with Adelyn. They ran around down in the courtyard of our apartment complex. What a gift! I was able to rest a bit, spend some time with my new little girl (and did some laundry, bummer). Thank you so much Tara!!

Grandma Returns Home

4-14-09 Its time for Grandma to return home. My mom helped incredibly while here for two weeks. We all got spoiled, especially Caelan. He now knows exactly where Starbucks is on their "walks"

and what flavor biscotti he likes.

Happy Easter!! What a wonderful day! We started the day off with a hunt for baskets and a tummy full of my mom's kolachkies (mmmmmm...), then off to church. We came home, had some more kolachkies and Caelan's first egg hunt, which he thoroughly enjoyed. My mom prepared a scrumptious dinner, she really put forth a lot of effort to make this day special!! Thank you Mom!

Prepping for the Easter Bunny

This was the first time I had colored eggs with Caelan. He was fascinated. And actually did really well. I had a great time, lots of fun!! I personally challenge the E Bunny to try to top these eggs!

4-9-09 The weather was so beautiful and a walk along the path at the Long Branch Nature Center sounded like a great idea. MaKenna was only one week old and this mom got tired quickly, but the four of us enjoyed our time together.
