Upton Hills Pool

On 7-2-09 we met our friends from Mom's Group at the Upton Hills pool. The kids had so much fun splashing around together. And MaKenna...what a baby doll, she sat there and watched the kids so intently. She looked like she was enjoying the pool as well!

National Zoo Visit

6-29-09 MaKenna's first visit to the National Zoo. This visit began as a Mom's Group outting. Well, we only ran into two moms (out of many, many). And I decided to head off on our own, which actually worked out best. We took our time, could eat when we wanted, rest and look at different animals (some over and over). We had a really fun time!

Anybody Home?

6-22-09 I made a little house for Caelan out of a BIG box that some diapers were shipped in (ah, the life & times of having two children in diapers). He uses it as a house, a car and an airplane. It's so fun to watch him use his imagination. Whatever vehicle he is driving they all have a "turn-turn", which is what Caelan calls a steering wheel. Hee!

Oooohhhh MaKenna

11 weeks old (6-21-09)
On 6-16 had her two month check up. Here's her stats: 11lbs 5oz, 24" long, 15.5" head circumferance. She received three shots, cried harder than I've ever heard. Both Caelan and I were almost crying as well!

But we all recovered very quickly.

She is so alert and always smiley! When I look over her bassinet, after she has woken up, she makes a happy shreik, kicks her legs and flaps her arms. She is so fun, we cannot help but smile and laugh when we are around her!

Jungle Jim

Caelan 22 mos old.

A couple times now Caelan has surprised us by sneaking up to us and saying "Hi", when we thought he was in his room taking a nap. So we got the camera out and asked him to climb out, we just wanted to see how he was doing it. But after four tries he never did climb out, and since that date he hasn't climbed out again. Hee!

Roadtrip to Rockford

5-29-09 We traveled out to Rockford so Caelan could play with cousin Nolie (Nolan). They had a great time playing outside and inside. Running, jumping, digging in the sandbox and learning to share. We cannot wait to see them again!
