10-12-09 I had to share the first moments of the Jungle Jumper!

Caelan was very anxious to show her all the bells and whistles!

And a little too anxious to get back in!

10-12-09 We bring back the Jungle Jumper. Caelan had so much fun in it when he was a babe we thought it was time for MaKenna to experience the fun! At first she was a little unsure but took her just a minute to figure out how the jumpin worked and now she's a pro!

10-3-09 The kids and I woke up at the crack of dawn, which is about 5:30am, to go support their daddy. Shawn was in the Army 10 Miler. After Shawn left us to find the starting line, the kids and I adventured out on the Pentagon grounds, where the race began, to find some fun of our own. There were many, many vender booths set up, music, food and Caelan's favorite... the fireman and his truck. He climbed all over that truck & flipped every switch. We didn't stick around for the finish of the race as the troops were getting restless.

Shawn ran the 10 Miler in 1:32:55. What an accomplishment! After he finished he felt great and said he thought he could tackle a marathon.

I have no doubt he could run it strong!

Caelan's Crib Adjustment

A Caelan-proof crib!

Yeah, he's none too pleased

But now he can have sleep overs!

We were having major problems with Caelan climbing out of his crib. Nothing we said and nothing we did would deter him from climbing out of his crib. Then.....Shawn, the genious, had an idea! Take the mattress support out of the crib and put the mattress directly on the floor. Yippee now it is Caelan proof!

10-06-09 I was so excited, another big step in MaKenna's life of food. She did so good, a little gagging as she got used to the feeling of solid in her mouth but recovered quickly. She's going to be a good eater! Yeah MaKenna!!!

9-26-09 The kids and I went to Phillips Park Fall Festival with Grandma and the Rogers family. The kids enjoyed the petting zoo, some seasonal snacks, looking at the bigger animals in the zoo and having just plain fun running and running.

9/24 & 9/25/09 We drove out to Davenport to visit Grandma Betty and Aunt Robin. Unfortunately Grandma Betty was in the hospital during our visit but we still had a great time visiting with her and the rest of the Kinzer clan.

This is what Caelan did during his nap time. See the diaper hanging from the third shelf on the bookcase. Yep, he took it off and chucked it. How could I not laugh when I saw a naked child in the pack n play and a diaper hanging off the bookcase.
